Q: Are the tours family-friendly and accessible for all ages?
A: Absolutely! We welcome guests of all ages, from toddlers to seniors. Our tours are designed to be very family-friendly, and the main barn is wheelchair and stroller accessible so everyone can join the fun. (Kids 2 and under even attend for free!)
Q: How long does each tour last?
A: Tour lengths vary. The Public Alpaca tour is about 45 minutes, The Private Alpaca tour is about 60 minutes, while the V.I.P. Tour is around 1.5 hours and the Ultimate Alpaca Experience is 3 hours of alpaca time. No matter which tour you choose, most of that time is spent interacting directly with our friendly alpacas!
Q: What if it rains or the weather is bad?
A: No worries – we’ve got you covered (literally!). If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we simply hold the tour inside our cozy girl’s barn, so you won’t have to deal with rain, snow, or wind. Tours go ahead year-round regardless of weather. Just dress for the day’s temperature (the barn isn’t heated), and if driving conditions are ever unsafe, we’ll happily reschedule or offer a refund.
Q: Will we get to interact and feed the alpacas?
A: Yes! All our tours are very hands-on and interactive – you won’t just be looking at alpacas from afar, you’ll be right in there with them. We provide complimentary alpaca treats for you to feed them (no extra charge), and under our guidance you can pet them and even snap selfies. Our alpacas are used to visitors and love meeting new friends (especially if you come bearing treats)! 🦙💕
Q: What should we wear or bring for the tour?
A: Dress for a farm setting. We recommend wearing closed-toe shoes for your comfort and safety around the animals (the barn floor is clean, but toes are safest in shoes). And don’t forget a camera or smartphone – you’ll definitely want to capture the alpacas in action (baby alpacas, called crias, are super photogenic!). We provide everything else, including alpaca feed. One important note: for the comfort of our alpacas, please do not bring any pet dogs (service dogs are fine) along to the ranch – unfamiliar dogs can stress our herd.
