How does the 100% money back guarantee work?

To receive the money back guarantee at the end of the tour, before you leave the property you must let us know that you were not satisfied with your tour, tell us why and how we could improve it in the future. By taking advantage of the money back guarantee you give up your right to any extras that are included in your tour package such as but not limited to, plushies that are part of the tour package or store discounts. Guests may only take advantage of this offer once.

What are you doing to keep people safe?

The mask mandate has been dropped and we understand that people are tired of wearing masks. With that being said Carolyn has a compromised respiratory system so she will continue to wear a mask for the tours, if you are willing to wear one also we would truly appreciate that.

To ensure the safety of all, we will continue with the following Covid protocols:

  • All common surfaces are disinfected between groups.
  • The maximum number of guests per tour will be 15.
  • If you wish to visit the gift shop at the end of your tour you will be required to use hand sanitizer upon entering.
  • If you have been exposed to someone with COVID19 or feel unwell before your tour please contact us to reschedule your visit.

All bookings made are with the understanding that we may need to reschedule them or cancel them with a full refund depending on how things evolve. If you have any questions please contact us before booking.

Where are you located?

We are just outside Markdale, Ontario which is about 1 ½ hours northwest of Toronto. Please see the map on our contact us page.

Do I need an appointment for a tour?

Yes, appointments are required for all tours and they can be booked right here on-line

Can I come and just wander around the ranch on my own?

Due to bio-security issues and liability issues for both you and us we can’t allow guests to wander the ranch on their own. If you would like to visit the alpacas please book a tour.

Where do I go when I arrive for my tour?

When you arrive please park by the house and ring the doorbell at the back door of the house to let us know you have arrived.

What if I'm going to arrive late for my tour?

Try to arrive a few minutes before your tour is scheduled to begin. Please notify us if you are going to arrive more than a couple of minutes  late. Please be aware that if you arrive more than 15 minutes late your tour may be shortened so the next tour can begin on time. More than an hour late your tour may have to be cancelled completely. There are no refunds or credit for short or cancelled tours if you arrive late.

How much are your tours?

Public Alpaca Farm Tour: The fee for this tour is $35 for  Adults and $20 for Youth. There is no charge for children 2 and under.

Private Alpaca Farm Tour: The fee for this tour is $50 for  Adults and $25 for Youth. There is no charge for children 2 and under.

The V.I.P. Alpaca Tour: The fee for this tour is $75 for  Adults and $35 for Youth. There is no charge for children 2 and under.

The Ultimate Alpaca Experience: The fee is $170 for  Adults and $80 for Youth. There is no charge for children 2 and under.

Where is the tour held?

Most of the tour takes place in the “girls” barn so we are not out in the sun, wind, snow or rain, however we do recommend that you dress appropriately for the outside temperature as the barn is not heated. The floors are very clean you don’t need to worry about getting farm dirt on your shoes. Sometimes we will visit the boys in the pasture, but again it is very clean as the alpacas use communal poop piles so you don’t need to worry about your shoes. 

What if the weather is bad?

When the weather is bad the whole tour will take place inside the barn so you don’t have to deal with the elements and your tour will go ahead regardless of the weather. If it is not safe to drive you have the option to reschedule your tour or cancel it for a full refund. In this case please give us at least 2 hours notice that you will not be coming for your tour.

The barn is not heated so do dress appropriately for the outside temperature.

What should I bring with me?

Make sure to bring a camera to take lots of pictures, crias (baby alpacas) are very photogenic. We also recommend you wear closed toed shoes for your protection while interacting with the alpacas. 

What shouldn't I bring to the ranch?

For the comfort of our alpacas we ask that you please do not bring dogs to the ranch as they are unaccustomed to them and can be stressed by unfamiliar dogs.

Is the barn wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the barn where the tour is held is fully wheelchair accessible. Please do let us know though if there will be a wheelchair so we can make sure the ramp to the gift shop is accessible.

How long are the tours?

A: Tour lengths vary. The Public Alpaca tour is about 45 minutes, The Private Alpaca tour is about 60 minutes, while the V.I.P. Tour is around 1.5 hours and the Ultimate Alpaca Experience is 3 hours of alpaca time. No matter which tour you choose, most of that time is spent interacting directly with our friendly alpacas!

Do you offer public tours?

Yes, we have a 45 minute Public Alpaca Tour. Different groups can be combined on this tour up to a maximum of 15 on the tour.

What is your cancellation policy?
  • 48+ Hours Notice: No worries – if your plans change and you contact us at least 48 hours before your scheduled tour, and we’ll reschedule your tour to another time. or if you prefer issue a 100% full refund.
  • Less than 48 Hours Notice: Cancellations made with under 48 hours to go are non-refundable. (Since we reserve the whole ranch just for you, short-notice cancellations mean others miss out.) Though we will work with you to reschedule your tour to another time.
  • Rescheduling for Weather/Travel Issues: We know Ontario winter weather can be unpredictable. If the roads are officially closed or driving conditions are truly unsafe on the day of your tour, just let us know at least 2 hours before your start time. We’ll be happy to reschedule your tour to another day with no penalty. Your safety is our priority!
